Round 4 now open for Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program which provides grants and affordable housing loans for compact transit-oriented development and related infrastructure and programs that reduce greenhouse gas ("GHG") emissions. These projects increase the accessibility of housing, employment centers, and key destinations via low-carbon transportation options (walking, biking, transit) resulting in fewer vehicle miles traveled (VMT) and mode shift. (DUE Feb. 11, 2019)
Through the use of monetary awards and training opportunities, the CDFI Fund’s Native Initiatives program creates jobs, builds businesses, and fosters economic self-determination in Native Communities nationwide.
The Strategic Growth Council's Affordable Housing and Sustainable Communities (AHSC) Program funds land-use, housing, transportation, and land preservation projects to support infill and compact development that reduces greenhouse gas ("GHG") emissions. These projects facilitate the reduction of the emissions of GHGs by improving mobility options and increasing infill development, which decrease vehicle miles traveled and associated greenhouse gas and other emissions, and by reducing land conversion, which would result in emissions of greenhouse gases.
