SGC: Climate Change Research Program

The Strategic Growth Council was allocated $18 million in California Climate Investments Program funds in the fiscal year 2018-2019 budget to administer a second round of grant awards to support the California Climate Change Technology and Solutions Initiative.

The purpose of this initiative is to invest in clean technology development and deployment to help bridge the gap to new technologies, modeling, and analysis, leading to greater greenhouse gas (GHG) emission reductions and resilience statewide.

Community Air Grants Program

EXTENDED TO APRIL 19, 2018 - The Community Air Grants Program aims to provide support for community-based organizations to participate in the AB 617 process, and to build their own capacities to become active partners with government to identify, evaluate, and ultimately reduce air pollution and exposure to harmful emissions in their communities. The purpose of the Community Air Grants Program (Program) is to provide community-based organizations in California an additional opportunity to participate in the implementation of AB 617 and the means to acquire some logistical and technical assistance to support those participation efforts. The Program also aims to foster strong collaborative relationships between communities, air districts, CARB, and other stakeholders.

P3 Awards: A National Student Design Competition Focusing on People, Prosperity and the Planet

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) as part of its "People, Prosperity and the Planet (P3) Award Program" is seeking applications proposing to research, develop, design, and demonstrate solutions to real world challenges. The P3 competition highlights the use of scientific principles in creating innovative technology-based projects that achieve the mutual goals of improved quality of life, economic prosperity, and protection of the planet; people, prosperity, and the planet.

Development and Deployment of Innovative Asphalt Pavement Technologies

The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) hereby requests applications for assistance to result in the award of a Cooperative Agreement (Agreement), entitled "Development and Deployment of Innovative Asphalt Pavement Technologies." The purpose of this proposed Agreement is to stimulate, facilitate, and expedite the deployment and rapid adoption of new and innovative technology relating to the design, production, testing, control, construction, and investigation of asphalt pavements.
