2019 Wood Innovations Funding Opportunity

The U.S. Forest Service requests proposals to substantially expand and accelerate wood energy and wood products markets throughout the United States to support forest management needs on National Forest System and other forest lands.

This Request for Proposals focuses on the following priorities to:

• Reduce hazardous fuels and improve forest health on National Forest System and other forest lands.

• Reduce costs of forest management on all land types.

• Promote economic and environmental health of communities.

FY 2019 National Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program

The EPA Exchange Network Grant Program is soliciting project proposals that use the Environmental Information Exchange Network (EN) to:
  • Facilitate sharing of environmental data, especially through shared and reusable services.
  • Streamline data collection and exchanges to improve its timeliness for decision making.
  • Increase the quality and access to environmental data through discovery, publishing, outbound, and analytical services so it is more useful to environmental managers.

State Coastal Conservancy Proposition 1 Grants

The Coastal Conservancy is currently soliciting Proposition 1 grant proposals, applications are due April 30, 2019. The Proposition 1 Solicitation describes the grant program, its priorities, evaluation criteria, and other important information. In order to apply, applicants must submit a cover page and a project description. Applications for Prop 1 funding for restoration and ecosystem protection projects must include a completed Corps Consultation Review form.

Clean Fleets Program

The Clean Fleets Program is an incentive program that offers grant funding to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing or leasing new light- and medium-duty zero-emissions vehicles for fleets that operate within the Air District’s jurisdiction.

Cultural, Community and Natural Resources Grant Program

California voters passed the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018 (Proposition 68) on June 5, 2018. Proposition 68 authorized the Legislature to appropriate $37 million to the California Natural Resources Agency (the “State”) for competitive grants that protect, restore, and enhance California’s cultural, community and natural resources. This resulted in the Cultural, Community and Natural Resources (“CCNR”) Grant Program.

Climate Tech Finance Program - Bay Area

Learn how to apply for subsidized financing for emerging technologies that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Public-sector facilities can apply for loans ranging from $500,000 to $30 million, over up to 30-year terms. Small businesses can apply for loan guarantees on loans of up to $20 million, with a maximum guarantee of $2.5 million. Projects may be eligible for up to 90 percent guarantees through this program.

Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration Grants

The Five Star and Urban Waters Restoration grant program seeks to develop community capacity to sustain local natural resources for future generations by providing modest financial assistance to diverse local partnerships focused on improving water quality, watersheds and the species and habitats they support. The Five Star and Urban Waters program will award approximately $1.7 million in grants natio​nwide.

Solid Waste Management Grants

This program reduces or eliminates pollution of water resources by providing funding for organizations that provide technical assistance or training to improve the planning and management of solid waste sites.
  • Evaluate current landfill conditions to identify threats to water resources.
  • Provide technical assistance or training to enhance the operation and maintenance of active landfills.
  • Provide technical assistance or training to help communities reduce the amount of solid waste coming into a landfill.
