LEED for Cities and Communities Grant

To realize a sustainable future for all, the next generation of green building must focus on the development of smart cities and resilient communities. To further that goal, USGBC and the Bank of America Charitable Foundation have created the LEED for Cities and Communities Grant Program to provide support to a cohort of local governments pursuing certification under the LEED for Cities and Communities rating system.

2019 SEEC GHG Inventory Cohort Training Session

Apply now for assistance completing your community greenhouse gas inventory. Beginning in February, ICLEI will host the "2019 SEEC GHG Inventory Cohort Training Session", a structured technical assistance program to guide local governments through the steps for creating a community-scale greenhouse gas inventory in real time. This session is available to all California planning agencies, city, town, and county governments at no cost.

2019 Wood Innovations Funding Opportunity

The U.S. Forest Service requests proposals to substantially expand and accelerate wood energy and wood products markets throughout the United States to support forest management needs on National Forest System and other forest lands.

This Request for Proposals focuses on the following priorities to:

• Reduce hazardous fuels and improve forest health on National Forest System and other forest lands.

• Reduce costs of forest management on all land types.

• Promote economic and environmental health of communities.

FY 2019 National Environmental Information Exchange Network Grant Program

The EPA Exchange Network Grant Program is soliciting project proposals that use the Environmental Information Exchange Network (EN) to:
  • Facilitate sharing of environmental data, especially through shared and reusable services.
  • Streamline data collection and exchanges to improve its timeliness for decision making.
  • Increase the quality and access to environmental data through discovery, publishing, outbound, and analytical services so it is more useful to environmental managers.

State Coastal Conservancy Proposition 1 Grants

The Coastal Conservancy is currently soliciting Proposition 1 grant proposals, applications are due April 30, 2019. The Proposition 1 Solicitation describes the grant program, its priorities, evaluation criteria, and other important information. In order to apply, applicants must submit a cover page and a project description. Applications for Prop 1 funding for restoration and ecosystem protection projects must include a completed Corps Consultation Review form.

Clean Fleets Program

The Clean Fleets Program is an incentive program that offers grant funding to help offset a portion of the cost of purchasing or leasing new light- and medium-duty zero-emissions vehicles for fleets that operate within the Air District’s jurisdiction.

Cultural, Community and Natural Resources Grant Program

California voters passed the California Drought, Water, Parks, Climate, Coastal Protection, and Outdoor Access for All Act of 2018 (Proposition 68) on June 5, 2018. Proposition 68 authorized the Legislature to appropriate $37 million to the California Natural Resources Agency (the “State”) for competitive grants that protect, restore, and enhance California’s cultural, community and natural resources. This resulted in the Cultural, Community and Natural Resources (“CCNR”) Grant Program.
