Consistent with AB 32, the Urban Greening Program will fund projects that reduce greenhouse gases by sequestering carbon, decreasing energy consumption and reducing vehicle miles traveled, while also transforming the built environment into places that are more sustainable, enjoyable, and effective in creating healthy and vibrant communities. These projects will establish and enhance parks and open space, using natural solutions to improving air and water quality and reducing energy consumption, and creating more walkable and bike-able trails.
EPA’s Office of Pollution Prevention and Toxics (OPPT) is announcing a five year assistance agreement to eligible applicants (see Section III.A.) to provide technical support to OPPT’s National Tribal Toxics Council (NTTC) in order to: 1) Represent tribal interests in the development and implementation of chemical risk assessment, risk management and pollution prevention programs; and 2) Facilitate tribal collaboration with EPA.
NRCS is announcing the availability of Conservation Innovation Grant (CIG) On-Farm Conservation Innovation Trials (On-Farm Trials) to stimulate the adoption and evaluation of innovative conservation approaches in partnership with agricultural producers. For 2020, applications are accepted from eligible entities for projects addressing at least one priority listed in this announcement. Up to $25 million is available for On-Farm Trials in 2020.

EPA’s Office of Transportation and Air Quality is soliciting applications nationwide for projects that achieve significant reductions in diesel emissions.
Eligible entities include tribal governments (or intertribal consortia) and Alaska Native Villages, which have jurisdiction over transportation or air quality. Although private fleet owners are not eligible to apply directly to EPA for DERA funding, both public and private fleets can benefit from the programs implemented by DERA national grant recipients.
The Regional Conservation Partnership Program (RCPP) promotes coordination of NRCS conservation activities with partners that offer value-added contributions that expand our collective ability to address on-farm, watershed, and regional natural resource concerns. NRCS seeks to co-invest with RCPP partners to implement projects that demonstrate innovative solutions to conservation challenges and provide measurable improvements and outcomes tied to the resource concerns they seek to address.
