California Releaf - 2016 Social Equity Tree Planting Grant Program – Round 2

The 2016 Social Equity Tree Planting Grant Program is funded by a grant from the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE), which received money in the 2014-15 State Budget from the California Climate Investments Program to support projects that combat climate change. All funded projects must reduce greenhouse gasses, and either be located in, or provide benefit to, disadvantaged communities as defined by CalEnviroScreen 2.0.

California ReLeaf has released a Request for Proposals for Round 2 of the 2016 Social Equity Tree Planting Grant Program, with up to $125,000 in funding for tree planting projects for disadvantaged communities. Applications are due no later than Monday, November 14, 2016.
