The Community Assistance Program - State Support Services element (CAP-SSSE) program provides funding to States to provide technical assistance to communities in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and to evaluate community performance in implementing NFIP floodplain management activities. Designation, duties, and responsibilities of State Coordinating Agencies are found in 44 CFR 60.25. These regulations identify the states commitment to the minimum floodplain management criteria and to demonstrate the capability and responsibility to implement the program. In this way, CAP-SSSE helps to; ensure that the flood loss reduction goals of the NFIP are met, build state and community floodplain management expertise and capability, and leverage state knowledge and expertise in working with their communities.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) invites grant applications for the Research Specialist Award (R50) in any area of NCI-funded cancer research. This FOA is specifically for laboratory-based scientists.The Research Specialist Award is designed to encourage the development of stable research career opportunities for exceptional scientists who want to continue to pursue research within the context of an existing NCI-funded basic, translational, clinical, or population science cancer research program, but not serve as independent investigators. These non-tenure track scientists, such as researchers within a research program, are vital to sustaining the biomedical research enterprise. It is anticipated that only exceptional scientists who want to pursue research within the context of an existing NCI-funded cancer research program, but not serve as independent investigators, will be competitive for this award.

This NIMH funding opportunity announcement (FOA) seeks to strengthen the evidence for effective interventions and implementation strategies that address SDoH for HIV, and ultimately improve HIV outcomes and reduce health inequities. The FOA will solicit and fund a set of implementation research projects that aim to reduce HIV inequities, with the goal to support high-impact implementation research in HIV health inequity reduction and develop a generalizable knowledge base to guide implementation of innovative strategies, inform policy, shape guidelines, and provide a model for other jurisdictions. Research projects or collaboratives will employ efficient hybrid implementation-effectiveness research designs to simultaneously advance the evidence base for effective SSDoH-encompassing interventions and test implementation strategies to accompany these interventions.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to solicit research to better understand the biology, natural history, and directionality of oral complications associated with pharmacotherapies used to treat opioid use disorders (OUDs). Further, this FOA will support research to address access to care and other challenges that may contribute to dental and oral disease onset and progression in people with OUD, with a long-term goal of developing targeted preventive strategies for these individuals.

The purpose of the NCI Pathway to Independence Award for Outstanding Early Stage Postdoctoral Researchers (K99/R00) program is to increase and maintain a strong cohort of new and talented, NCI-supported, independent investigators. This program is designed for postdoctoral fellows with research and/or clinical doctoral degrees who do not require an extended period of mentored research training beyond their doctoral degrees. The objective of this award is to facilitate a timely transition of these fellows from their mentored, postdoctoral research positions to independent tenure-track (or equivalent) faculty positions. The program will provide independent NCI research support during this transition to help awardees to launch competitive, independent research careers. Researchers in the scientific areas of data science and cancer control science are especially encouraged to apply. This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is designed specifically for candidates proposing to serve as the lead investigator of an independent clinical trial, a clinical trial feasibility study, or a separate ancillary clinical trial, as part of their research and career development. Those not planning an independent clinical trial, or proposing to gain research experience in a clinical trial led by another investigator, must apply to companion FOA (RFA-CA-22-035). This Funding Opportunity Announcement is for basic science experimental studies involving humans, referred to in NOT-OD-18-212 as prospective basic science studies involving human participants. These studies fall within the NIH definition of a clinical trial and also meet the definition of basic research. Types of studies that should be submitted under this FOA include studies that prospectively assign human participants to conditions (i.e., experimentally manipulate independent variables) and that assess biomedical or behavioral outcomes in humans for the purpose of understanding the fundamental aspects of phenomena

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $600 million in Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 and 2023 Section 5337 State of Good Repair Program funds (Catalog of Federal Domestic Assistance #20.525) authorized for competitively selected rail vehicle replacement projects. As required by Federal public transportation law and subject to appropriations, funds will be awarded competitively to States and local governmental authorities to assist in the funding of capital projects to replace rail rolling stock.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage revision applications (formerly called "competing revisions") from currently funded NCI U54 Resource-Related Research Projects proposing to expand upon original research question(s) from specific projects or otherwise accelerate progress for the parent study by incorporating a new technical approach or instrument developed through support from the NCI Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program. NIDA Core Center of Excellence Grants (P30) are intended to bring together investigators currently funded by NIH or other Federal or non-Federal sources, to enhance the effectiveness of existing research and also to extend the focus of research to drug abuse and addiction. It is expected that a Center will transform knowledge in the sciences it is studying. Incremental work should not be the focus of Center activities; rather, new and creative directions are encouraged. An application should integrate and promote research in existing funded projects, to achieve new and creative directions. It is expected that individual core activities reflect a relationship to the integrating theme of the Center and the Center is expected to provide research opportunities and experiences to new investigators , and share findings, data and their resources, consistent with achieving the goals of the program.

The purpose of this funding opportunity announcement (FOA) is to provide investigators with access to resources provided by the Data Management Coordinating Center for Diagnostic Centers of Excellence (RFA-NS-22-051), as part of the next phase of the Undiagnosed Diseases Network. Resources include infrastructure, data management, and clinical research support for a new Network of clinical sites that provide diagnostic services for patients with undiagnosed diseases.
