California Conservation Corps Energy Corps No Due Date Given Varies

Corpsmembers aged 18 – 25 years old complete a year of paid service and receive on-the-job training while completing projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Energy Corps projects include energy efficiency audits and retrofits. Individuals can apply to participate in the Energy Corps and organizations can apply to provide projects for the Energy Corps.

Monterey Bay Zero Emission School Bus Program No Due Date Given Varies

This is a fleet enhancement program and does not require replacement of existing fleet buses. Eligible applicants are any public school district, Joint Powers Agreement (JPA) school, or contractor operating school buses for those public schools.

The ZESBP award will be in the form of an executed grant agreement between the school district and MBARD and will be funded in combination from various sources : AB617, AB923, Carl Moyer Program, Local Offsite Mitigation fees, the Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP), or Monterey Bay Community Power (MBCP) funds. MBCP is helping to move the program foward by contributing $1.2 Million in total funds. Six electric school bus projects will each receive $200,000 from MBCP's contribution and the rest of the funding will be supported by MBARD grant funds.

Corpsmembers aged 18 – 25 years old complete a year of paid service and receive on-the-job training while completing projects that reduce greenhouse gas emissions.  California Conservation Corps (CCC) projects include reforestation, forest fuel reduction, habitat restoration, urban greening and community forestry.

Individuals can apply to participate in the Forest Health CCC program and organizations can apply to provide projects for the Forest Health CCC program.

Yolo-Solano AQMD Clean Air Funds No Due Date Given Varies

Yolo-Solano AQMD’s Clean Air Funds Program offers grants for projects designed to reduce emissions from mobile sources. Private businesses, non-profit organizations and public agencies are eligible for Clean Air Funds.

Projects that have been awarded Clean Air Funds include:

  • Replacing or retrofitting diesel trucks and off-road equipment that do not qualify for other regional programs
  • New electric or alternative fuel vehicles
  • Design and construction of pedestrian and bicycle facilities
  • Transit projects
  • Public information and education programs

North Coast Unified AQMD Rural School Bus Program No Due Date Given Varies

Through a partnership with Senator Mike McGuire and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) the District has been asked to administer the Rural School Bus Pilot Project for the State of California. The main goal of this grant program is accelerating the turnover of California school bus fleets to lower carbon transportation choices, especially in rural school districts who have less access to other funding sources.

The SLO County APCD's Alt Fuel Infrastructure Grant Program provides funding for Electric Vehicle Charging and Natural Gas Fueling Stations in San Luis Obispo County.

Clean Green Yard Machines Commercial Voucher Program No Due Date Given Varies

The Clean Green Yard Machines Commercial Voucher Program (Commercial CGYM) provides incentives for the replacement of landscape maintenance equipment to lawn care providers, such as public agencies and private entities in the San Joaquin Valley.
