Sacramento Metro AQMD Wood Stove & Fireplace Incentive Programs No Due Date Given Varies

There are an estimated 320,000 fireplaces and wood stoves in Sacramento County homes. Wood smoke created from the use of wood and pellets in these devices is a significant source of particulate matter, hydrocarbons, nitrogen oxides, toxic air contaminants and odors, especially during the winter. These pollutants are linked to serious health impacts.

The Sac Metro Air District is committed to reducing pollution coming from wood burning fireplaces and wood stoves. It has an incentive program that helps people change out their existing wood burning units to cleaner units, and an enforcement program to stimulate compliance with rules related to wintertime burning activities.

City of Vernon Public Benefits Program No Due Date Given Varies

The Customer Incentive Program is designed to encourage energy efficient lighting systems and the exploration and implementation of energy efficient technologies.  Often, the latter technologies are overlooked because customers are either unfamiliar with them, think they are too costly to apply at their facilities, or do not believe such technologies can effectively meet their energy needs. These technologies may address either equipment or operational change, therefore, if the Department can quantify a demand reduction and/or energy savings, there is a basis for providing an incentive to assist the customer. This program provides incentives in two separate areas, lighting, and energy efficient equipment.

SCE Heat Pump Equipment Rebates No Due Date Given Varies

Heat Pump Equipment Discounted Pricing

SCE is partnering with manufacturers and distributors to offer discounts on Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) and water heat pump equipment for installation on existing residential homes in the SCE service territory. Heat pumps are clean energy technologies that provide multiple air quality benefits and support California’s goals to Carbon Neutrality by 2045.

How does the Program Work?  It’s actually very simple. Participating manufacturers and distributors use SCE energy efficiency funds to provide discounts on qualifying equipment to installation contractors and resellers, who in turn pass on the savings to SCE customers. There is no need for you to mail-in rebate applications or to wait for incentive checks to come in the mail.

If you are interested in purchasing these products, you should inquire about these discounts with your contractor or reseller prior to purchase. There are no rebate application forms to complete.
