The South Coast Air Quality Management District (South Coast AQMD) and the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) has established a residential Electric Vehicle (EV) charging incentive program to offset Level 2 (240v) EV charger hardware costs. This program will be available to residents within the South Coast AQMD’s four-county jurisdiction.

The program will provide an incentive to buy-down the cost of residential chargers, which typically range from $400-$800. The program is administered on a first-come, first-served basis and provides up to a $250 rebate or the cost paid for the charger, whichever is lower.  Low-income residents can qualify for a total rebate of $500 or the cost paid for the charger, whichever is lower

The Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Office ofJustice Services (OJS), Indian Highway Safety Program (IHSP) solicits proposalsfor implementing traffic safety programs and projects which are designated toreduce the number of traffic crashes, deaths, injuries and property damagewithin these populations. Indian Highway Safety Grants are reimbursable grantsavailable to federally recognized tribes.

The program achieves near-term reductions in emissions of oxides of nitrogen (NOx), particulate matter (PM), and reactive organic gas (ROG) which are necessary for California to meet its clean air commitments under the State Implementation Plan. NOx and ROG combine in the presence of sunlight to form ozone (smog), while PM, a component of diesel exhaust, has been identified as a toxic air contaminant by the Air Resources Board. The application period typically runs from December until early March of each year.

The Carl Moyer Program provides monetary grants to private companies and public agencies to clean up their heavy-duty engines beyond that required by law or regulation, through repowering, replacing or retrofitting their engines, vehicles or equipment. Moyer grants also fund infrastructure projects to support California’s transformation toward zero and near-zero technologies.

The Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for $3.5 million in Fiscal Year (FY) 2021 competitive grant funding to support transit services for 2021 Innovative Coordinated Access and Mobility (ICAM) pilot program. Under the ICAM pilot program, funds awarded will finance innovative capital projects for the transportation-disadvantaged, with the goal to improve the coordination of transportation services and non-emergency medical transportation services for underserved groups. As required by Federal public transportation law and subject to appropriations, funds will be awarded competitively to eligible applicants. Eligible applicants are State departments of transportation, designated recipients for Section 5310 funds, or local governmental entities that operate a public transportation service, or their eligible subrecipients that have the authority and technical capacity to implement a regional or statewide cost allocation pilot.

Low-No ProgramThe Federal Transit Administration (FTA) announces the opportunity to apply for approximately $1.1 billion in competitive grants under the fiscal year (FY) 2022 Low or No Emission Grant Program (Low-No Program) (Federal Assistance Listing: 20.526) and approximately $372 million in FY 2022 funds under the Grants for Buses and Bus Facilities Program (Buses and Bus Facilities Program) (Federal Assistance Listing 20.526), subject to availability of appropriated funding. Synopses and full announcement will be posted on Grants.gov as funding opportunity ID FTA-001-TPM for Low-No applications and FTA-002-TPM for Buses and Bus Facilities applications. Proposals must be submitted electronically through Grants.gov website by 11:59 PM Eastern Time May 31, 2022.

The Pilot Program for TOD Planning helps support FTA’s mission of improving public transportation for America’s communities by providing funding to local communities to integrate land use and transportation planning around a new fixed guideway or core capacity improvement project. Per statute, any comprehensive or site specific planning funded through the program must examine ways to improve economic development and ridership, foster multimodal connectivity and accessibility, improve transit access for pedestrian and bicycle traffic, engage the private sector, identify infrastructure needs, and enable mixed-use development near transit stations.

The main purpose of the Low-No Program is to support the transition of the nation’s transit fleet to the lowest polluting and most energy efficient transit vehicles. The Low-No Program provides funding to State and local governmental authorities for the purchase or lease of zero-emission and low-emission transit buses, including acquisition, construction, and leasing of required supporting facilities.

The Glenn County Air Pollution Control District is excited to announce that it is opening its application period to local growers for participation in the FARMER grant program, a program that provides grant funding to local growers who want to upgrade their older diesel powered farming equipment to newer and cleaner technologies

The San Diego County Air Pollution Control District launched the Clean Air for All Grant Campaign to help businesses, nonprofits, and government agencies swap their polluting heavy machinery and equipment for electric and low carbon emission alternatives.
