  3. Does not cover water heaters used for space conditioning, process end-use applications, pools or spas.
  4. These measures are applicable to any building type in the residential building sector.
  5. These measures replace a storage water heater with another storage water heater.

Affordable Multifamily Financing Program No Due Date Given Varies

The Affordable Multifamily Financing program targets multifamily properties where at least 50% of the units are income restricted.

Like all of the programs highlighted on GoGreen Financing, the Affordable Multifamily Financing program is designed to encourage growth in private market lending and features a credit enhancement to help financing entities mitigate risk. It is designed to leverage and complement existing state and utility efforts to encourage affordable multifamily properties to install energy efficiency retrofits.

Property must receive electric and/or gas service from any of the following investor-owned utilities (IOU):

  • Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E®)
  • San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E®)
  • Southern California Edison (SCE®)
  • Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®)
Low-Income Weatherization Program (LIWP) Farmworker Housing Component No Due Date Given Varies

The Low-Income Weatherization Program's (LIWP's) Farmworker Housing Component installs no-cost energy efficiency improvements and/or solar PV systems for qualified farmworker households. Funded by the State of California to help households save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, the program lowers energy costs for families and makes other improvements to improve the livability of housing. 

Launched in 2019, the LIWP Farmworker Housing Component provides services in the 12 counties in California that have the highest farmworker populations, including:

Burbank Water & Power - Green Building Incentive Program No Due Date Given $30,000.00

The U.S. Green Building Council is a non-profit organization that promotes the design and construction of buildings that are environmentally responsible, profitable, and healthy places to live and work. The Green Building Council developed the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Building Rating System in order to more accurately provide incentives those using these practices. The LEED Green Building Rating System issues points across five categories to those striving to attain LEED status for new commercial construction or major renovation of commercial buildings, as well as multifamily and mixed-use developments that are five units or greater, or four stories or higher.  Rebates provided by Burbank Water & Power correspond to the following point totals and LEED certification levels:

  • Certified (40–49 points) - $15,000
  • Silver (50–59 points) - $20,000
  • Gold (60–79 points) - $25,000
  • Platinum (80 points and above) - $30,000

PG&E - Non-Residential Energy Efficiency Financing Program No Due Date Given $4,000,000.00

PG&E is providing 0% loans for energy efficiency projects pursued by their non-residential customers. Financing is available to fund many technologies, including lighting, HVAC, electric motors, LED street lights, refrigeration, food service equipment and water pumps. Projects may be eligible for for financing if it qualifies for a rebate or incentive through a PG&E program.

Loan funds must be used to purchase and install qualifying energy-efficient equipment. Customers may use a contractor or self-install the equipment. PG&E will inspect the facility before the old equipment is removed, and again after the new products are operating.

 

Loan terms and monthly payment amounts are determined based on the equipment's estimated monthly savings. Business customers may qualify for loans between $5,000 and $100,000, with loan periods of up to 5 years. Government agencies may qualify for loans between $5,000 and $4,000,000 per PG&E meter, with loan periods of up to 10 years.

PG&E Smart Thermostat Rebate No Due Date Given Varies

Receive a PG&E rebate with qualifying smart thermostats

Save up to $390 on cooling and heating costs and increase comfort by replacing your manual or programmable thermostat with a new ENERGY STAR® smart thermostat. For a limited time, receive a rebate of up to $120 when you purchase an eligible model and sign up for a Time-of-Use rate plan.

Customer eligibility

  • Installation address must have an electric and/or gas account with PG&E.
  • Residence must have a central heating and/or air-conditioning (HVAC) system.
  • For $70 Time-of-Use rebate, customers already on a Time-of-Use rate may qualify as long as all other eligibility requirements are met. In these cases, their rate will not be changed.

Key rebate terms

  • Smart thermostat must be new and replace an existing manual or programmable thermostat.
  • Smart thermostat must be installed and connected to Wi-Fi.
  • PG&E does not provide service support for the installed smart thermostat. Please contact the retailer or manufacturer for warranty information. See do-it-yourself installation information below.
  • Rebates are available on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Eligibility and amounts are subject to change at any time.

  • Customers who elect to change to a Time-of-Use rate plan do not need to change their rate through the website. Once a customer selects the appropriate rebate in the erebate process, they will be placed on TOU-C which has Peak (higher price) hours from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. every day and Off-Peak (lower price) hours before 4 p.m. and after 9 p.m. every day. SDG&E Residential Zero Net Energy Transformation (RZNET) Program No Due Date Given Varies

Do you live in an apartment or manufactured home? Do you own or operate a multifamily or manufactured housing community? If so, we may have ways to help reduce  your energy costs by participating in the new innovative Residential Zero Net Energy Transformation (RZNET) program. 

The Residential Zero Net Energy Transformation (RZNET) program will  assist SDG&E multifamily and manufactured housing customers with navigating their path to zero net energy. 

What is Zero Net Energy(ZNE)?  ZNE is the total amount of energy used by the building on an annual basis is equal to or less than the amount of renewable energy (energy created by sources that are naturally replenished, such as wind, rain, or solar) created on-site.

RZNET allows you to connect with an Energy Advisor that will help you make informed decisions about how to achieve your energy efficiency goals. 

RZNET program participants on the path to zero net energy, begin with the installation of no-cost measures and a complimentary ASHRAE Level 1 audit. Information on advanced energy efficiency, solar PV installations, and battery storage opportunities for multifamily and manufactured housing properties is also available.
