The Customer Incentive Program is designed to encourage energy efficient lighting systems and the exploration and implementation of energy efficient technologies.  Often, the latter technologies are overlooked because customers are either unfamiliar with them, think they are too costly to apply at their facilities, or do not believe such technologies can effectively meet their energy needs. These technologies may address either equipment or operational change, therefore, if the Department can quantify a demand reduction and/or energy savings, there is a basis for providing an incentive to assist the customer. This program provides incentives in two separate areas, lighting, and energy efficient equipment.

Silicon Valley Power offers several programs to help make your home look better and run more efficiently. To qualify for these programs, you must be a resident of the City of Santa Clara and receive electricity from Silicon Valley Power.

RESIDENTIAL ENERGY EFFICIENCY REBATE PROGRAM SUMMARY

WHAT RESIDENTIAL REBATE IS RIGHT FOR YOU?Whether you are looking to purchase an electric vehicle or make your home more energy efficient, REU offers rebate options at all price points to help keep your life running smoothly and efficiently.

Appliance Efficiency Rebate Program. By installing any of the following ENERGY STAR appliances, you can lower your energy use, control your utility bill and receive rebates. 

Qualifying Energy Star-rated products are listed on the Environmental Protection Agency’s web site at www.energystar.gov .

The rebate amounts for qualifying Energy Star-rated appliances are:

• Dishwasher $50
• Clothes Washer $75
• Refrigerator $50
• Room Air Conditioner $50

Energy Rebates:

The City of Palo Alto (CPAU) offers rebates on home appliances and systems that can increase your home's energy efficiency, help reduce your utility bills as well as improve the comfort of your home.

Water Rebates:

CPAU Partners with Valley Water to deliver rebates for energy efficient landscaping upgrades as well as products and projects that reduce stormwater runoff and conserve water.

MVU energy efficiency programs for both residential and commercial customers achieve energy saving, reduce customer bills, support economic development, reduce generation resource requirements and lessen environmental impacts.
