One of South Coast AQMD’s roles is to encourage the immediate use of commercially available, low, near-zero and zero emissions mobile and stationary technologies.  A variety of financial incentives, which include grants for incremental funding, subsidies or vouchers, are designed to promote voluntary introduction of new technologies on an accelerated schedule.  These incentives also provide manufacturers with justification to gear up for mass production of cleaner technologies.

Aquatic habitat conservation projects under the National Fish Habitat Partnership (NFHP) program must protect, restore, and enhance fish and aquatic habitats, as outlined in the National Fish Habitat Action Plan (Action Plan). Projects under this program, directly or indirectly, support and promote public access to recreational fishing opportunities. Funded projects may be carried out by Fish Habitat Partnerships (FHPs) recognized by the National Fish Habitat Board (Board), in cooperation with their partners. The mission of the National Bycatch Reduction Engineering Program (BREP) is to support the development of technological solutions and changes in fishing practices designed to minimize bycatch of fish and protected species (including Endangered Species Act-listed fish, marine mammals, seabirds, and sea turtles) and to reduce impacts to invertebrates (including sponges, deep-sea corals, and shallow (tropical) corals.) In addition, BREP may support projects that quantify post-release mortality and identify ways to minimize mortality and injury of bycaught species (including post-release injury and mortality). Projects should produce outcomes that can directly influence management needs of federally managed living marine resources. For Fiscal Year 2023, NMFS anticipates that approximately $2,300,000 could be made available for approximately 10-15 projects that address bycatch research as identified in the Program Priority Section (I.B.1 - I.B.5).

NMFS, in coordination with the New England and Mid-Atlantic Fishery Management Councils (Councils), is soliciting proposals under the Monkfish Research Set Aside (RSA) Program. Projects funded under the Monkfish RSA Program must enhance the knowledge of the monkfish fishery resource or contribute to the body of information on which monkfish management decisions are made. Priority will be given to proposals that investigate research priorities developed by the Council, which are detailed under the Program Priorities section of this announcement.Successful applicants will be awarded monkfish RSA days-at-sea (DAS). No federal funds are provided for research under this notification. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support multi-disciplinary, multi-component applications proposing the use of omics technologies to advance preventative and/or therapeutic vaccinations, and/or immunomodulatory cure interventions for HIV. Projects will integrate omics, computational, and hypothesis-driven experimental approaches to interrogate immune responses to HIV vaccination and/or cure strategies.

FDA seeks to continue a robust, collaborative, and educational program using problem-based learning techniques designed to bring researchers and regulators together to educate each other on the challenges related to these issues and to identify solutions that are acceptable from both scientific and regulatory perspectives. This program consists of the continued development and implementation of a certified, academic training course for instruction in Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) in a Biosafety Level (BSL) 4 High Containment Environment.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to support resource projects to enable Environmental Health Sciences (EHS) communities to openly develop, extend, adapt, or refine data and metadata standards as well as associated tools to implement standards. The initiative is intended to catalyze community-driven standards development and related implementation in environmental health. Projects can support activities at any point in the data standards lifecycle and should build on existing resources, infrastructure, and partnerships whenever possible. The standards, software, best practices, or other tools developed should be broadly disseminated for adoption by the relevant biomedical communities.
