The All of Us Research Program (All of Us) within the Office of the Director (OD) encourages investigators to apply for grant applications that will advance research in high-priority mission areas of the Institutes, Centers, and Offices (ICOs) through two companion FOAs (1) one to use standard methods and approaches to analyze currently available data within the All of Us Research Programs Researcher Workbench and (2) one to develop new methods, models, and tools and use them to analyze data in the Researcher Workbench. The new tools will be made broadly available to the scientific community. This FOA uses the R21 grant mechanism for new tool development and application, while the companion FOA (link) uses the R03 grant mechanism to support data analysis using standard methods.

SUMMARY: VA is announcing the availability of approximately $15 million per year for up to 2 years, pending availability of funding and grantee performance, in new grants under the case management component of the VA Homeless Providers Grant and Per Diem (GPD) program. Applications for grants are being accepted from eligible entities to support case management services. These time-limited case management services will improve retention of housing by Veterans who are at risk of becoming homeless or who were previously homeless and are transitioning to permanent housing from programs such as VA’s Homeless Providers GPD program or VA’s Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV) Contracted Residential Services (CRS) program. VA anticipates that the grants will be for a period of 2 years, starting in fiscal year (FY) 2024 on October 1, 2023, and ending on September 30, 2025. VA anticipates awarding approximately 100 grants for up to a total of approximately 150 full-time equivalent case (FTE) manager positions nationwide. Awards may be up to $300,000 total costs per FTE case manager position, with funding requests broken out by year 1 and year 2. This NOFO contains information concerning the program, application process, available funding, selection criteria and award process. The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to invite applications for the Centers for AIDS Research (CFAR) program to provide administrative and shared research support to enhance HIV/AIDS research. CFARs provide core facilities, expertise, resources, and services not readily obtained otherwise through more traditional funding mechanisms. The program emphasizes interdisciplinary collaboration across all areas of HIV/AIDS research.

The Community Assistance Program - State Support Services element (CAP-SSSE) program provides funding to States to provide technical assistance to communities in the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP) and to evaluate community performance in implementing NFIP floodplain management activities. Designation, duties, and responsibilities of State Coordinating Agencies are found in 44 CFR 60.25. These regulations identify the states commitment to the minimum floodplain management criteria and to demonstrate the capability and responsibility to implement the program. In this way, CAP-SSSE helps to; ensure that the flood loss reduction goals of the NFIP are met, build state and community floodplain management expertise and capability, and leverage state knowledge and expertise in working with their communities.

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) seeks applicants experienced in the isolation and sequencing of RNA from brain-derived extracellular vesicles to develop a research resource for the Accelerating Medicines Partnership in Parkinson's Disease (AMP PD). Approximately 2400 blood samples will be provided for this project from existing Parkinson's disease and normal control cohorts that already have longitudinal clinical and sequencing data that is publicly available to interested researchers. It is intended that this resource will become a part of the AMP PD Knowledge Platform, where it will be broadly shared with the research community.

The objectives of the Early Detection Research Network (EDRN; edrn.cancer.gov) are to discover, develop and validate biomarkers and imaging methods to detect early stage cancers and to translate these into clinical tests. The EDRN provides an infrastructure that is essential for this process and has successfully completed more than10 multicenter validation studies.

NEPS Concept # 1875 This FOA invites R01 applications?to conduct research that will have a major impact in identifying, developing, implementing, or testing strategies to prevent, reduce, or eliminate racial or ethnic disparities in substance use and addiction, thereby advancing health equity. Community engaged research can facilitate rapid advances in this scientific area by ensuring relevant research questions with immediate applicability. As such, applications must be submitted by collaborative community partnered investigative teams who will conduct research projects that address issues prioritized by the community. No preliminary data are required. Projects must clearly demonstrate, based on the strength of the logic, a compelling potential to produce a major impact in addressing racial or ethnic disparities and inequities in substance misuse. Research areas of interest will reflect community priorities and include etiology, prevention, health services research (including dissemination and implementation research), clinical neuroscience, medical consequences, and treatment and intervention development research.

AmeriCorps helps make service a cornerstone of our national culture.AmeriCorps grants are awarded to eligible organizations (See Section C.1 Eligible Applicants) proposing to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions/practices to strengthen communities. An AmeriCorps member is an individual who engages in community service through an approved national service position. Members may receive a living allowance and other benefits while serving. Upon successful completion of their service, members earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award that they can use to pay for higher education expenses or apply to qualified student loans.

This funding opportunity announcement (FOA) invites applications for new ECHO Cohort Study Sites to extend and expand the capacity of the ECHO Cohort to further investigate the roles of a broad range of early exposures from society to biology, including the preconception period, on ECHOs five key child health outcome areaspre-, peri- and postnatal, upper and lower airways, obesity, neurodevelopment, and positive healthamong diverse populations. The objectives of this FOA are to solicit applications to 1) lead collaborative ECHO Cohort science, 2) recruit new pregnant participants from diverse populations, their resulting offspring, and, if available, the conceiving partner, 3) develop and implement the ECHO Cohort Preconception Pilot Study, and 4) implement the ECHO Cohort Data and Biospecimen Collection Protocol using the ECHO Cohort consortiums central data capture system, e.g., REDCap Central. This FOA does not support site-specific analyses and science. This new funding period will be 7 years in duration provided successful performance in the UG3 phase and the UH3 phase.
