AmeriCorps grants are awarded to eligible organizations proposing to engage AmeriCorps members in evidence-based or evidence-informed interventions to strengthen communities. An AmeriCorps member is an individual who engages in community service through an approved national service position. Members may receive a living allowance and other benefits while serving. Upon successful completion of their service, members earn a Segal AmeriCorps Education Award from the National Service Trust that members can use to pay for higher education expenses or apply to qualified student loans.

The Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) will establish cooperative agreements with state and Tribal governments for the purpose of supporting local, regional, and socially disadvantaged farmers/producers through food purchasing under the “Build Back Better Initiative.” State and Tribal governments will purchase food from local and regional farmers/producers, targeting socially disadvantaged farmers/producers. These cooperative agreements will allow for entities to procure local, domestic foods that are unique to their geographic area and meet the needs of the populations. In addition to increasing local food consumption, funds are expected to help build and expand economic opportunity for local and socially disadvantaged farmers/producers. USDA will provide the state or Tribal government funding for food purchases as well as guidance, technical assistance, instruction, and monitoring throughout the life cycle of the cooperative agreement. Initial agreements will be distributed incrementally to ensure all interested applicants have an opportunity for an award. Initial awards will be to State Governments and Tribal Governments. Depending on demand, additional agreements may be made available for local governments. The expectation of this program is for recipients to spend the pre-dominance of awarded funds on food purchases. Food purchases can include both fresh and processed foods. Applicants may also request direct and indirect costs associated with developing and administering the program in accordance with 2 CFR § 200.414. All food purchased must meet the definition of domestically produced as well as the definition of local as defined in section 1.2.1. The period of performance for the Cooperative Agreements will be two years from the time of award. State agencies and Tribal governments should determine funding amounts based on their local food purchase availability and the needs of underserved communities. Funds may also be used to cover the activities associated with program development, administration, food storage and food distribution. States and Tribal governments will submit proposals indicating how they will use the funds to purchase commodities to meet the specified objectives within their state or region. These funds will be awarded through a non-competitive process based on the statutory The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP) funding formula. This formula considers the poverty rate and unemployment levels in each state to ensure the distribution of funds corresponds to feeding needs in each state. Cooperative Agreement applications will be awarded based on acceptability and ability to meet the goals of the program.

The Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Grant Program is intended to improve emergency management and preparedness capabilities by supporting flexible, sustainable, secure, strategically located, and fully interoperable EOCs with a focus on addressing identified deficiencies and needs. Fully capable emergency operations facilities at the state and local levels are an essential element of a comprehensive national emergency management system and are necessary to ensure continuity of operations and continuity of government in major disasters or emergencies caused by any hazard. Among the five basic homeland security missions noted in the DHS Strategic Plan, the EOC Grant Program supports the goal to Strengthen National Preparedness and Resilience. The 2022-2026 FEMA Strategic Plan outlines three bold, ambitious goals in order to position FEMA to address the increasing range and complexity of disasters, support the diversity of communities we serve, and complement the nation's growing expectations of the emergency management community. The EOC Grant Program supports Goal 3: Promote and Sustain a Ready FEMA and a Prepared Nation.

The National Dam Safety Program's mission is to reduce risks to lives, property, and the environment from dam failure by guiding public policy and leveraging industry best practices across the dam safety community. The National Dam Safety Program supports Goal 2: Lead Whole Community in Climate Resilience, Objective 2.3, Empower Risk-Informed Decision Making, of the 2022-2026 FEMA Strategic Plan. ObjectivesThe objectives of the Program are to:- Ensure that new and existing dams are safe through the development of technologically and economically feasible programs and procedures for national dam safety hazard reduction;- Encourage acceptable engineering policies and procedures to be used for dam site investigation, design, construction, operation, maintenance, and emergency preparedness;- Encourage the establishment and implementation of effective dam safety programs in each state based on state standards;- Develop and implement a comprehensive dam safety hazard education and public awareness initiative to assist in preparing for, mitigating, responding to, and recovering from dam incidents;- Develop mechanisms with which to provide Federal technical assistance for dam safety to non-Federal dam safety practitioners; and- Develop technical assistance materials, seminars, and guidelines to improve security for dams in the United States.

Support efforts that expand the capacity of volunteer connector organizations to recruit, manage, support and retain individuals to serve in high quality volunteer assignments.

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) seeks applications for the Data Innovation and Coordinating Hub/Resource Center (hereafter referred to as the Innovation and Data Hub) for the Maternal Health Research Centers of Excellence initiative. This FOA runs in parallel with companion FOAs that seek applications for Research Centers of Excellence (RFA-HD-23-NNN) and an Implementation Science Hub/Resource Center (RFA-HD-23-NNN). It is expected that the Innovation and Data Hub will provide 1) a coordination infrastructure to foster communication and collaboration for participating Research Centers and the Implementation Science Hub under the Maternal Health Centers of Excellence initiative, 2) a centralized resource to support data collection, facilitate curation, and ensure high-quality data, and 3) provide cutting edge biomedical research informatics and data science expertise to maximize data comparability and facilitate data harmonization. The Innovation and Data Hub itself will not generate new experimental data, but rather will serve as a resource, analytical platform, and portal for available analytical and data tools.

The purpose of this FOA is to invite applications for a Coordinating Center for the Environmental influences on Child Health Outcomes (ECHO) program. The ECHO Cohort Coordinating Center will provide comprehensive operational leadership and an organizational infrastructure to manage and coordinate all ECHO Cohort activities. The Coordinating Centers main roles are to: 1) Provide oversight and effective project management for all aspects of the ECHO Cohort consortium; 2) Support multiple ECHO Cohort committees and serve as the centralized ECHO Cohort communications center; and 3) Administer the Opportunities and Innovation Fund. This FOA runs in parallel with companion FOAs that solicit applications for Cohort Study Sites for follow-up of existing ECHO Cohort participants and for recruitment of new pregnant participants (RFA XXXX), for Cohort Study Sites only for follow-up of existing ECHO Cohort participants (RFA XXXX), for Cohort Study Sites only for recruitment of new pregnant participants (RFA XXXX), for an ECHO Data Analysis Center (RFA XXXX), for an ECHO Measurement Core (RFA XXXX), and for an ECHO Laboratory Core (RFA XXXX).

This Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) intends to support a group of Specialized Collaboratories that will adopt scalable technology platforms and streamlined sampling strategies and assay cascade to create comprehensive and highly granular brain cell atlases in human, non-human primates, and mouse, in coordination and collaboration with other BICAN projects. In particular, the Specialized Collaboratories are expected to complement the Comprehensive Centers in BICAN with distinct capabilities, competencies, and research aims. The overarching goal of the BICAN is to build reference brain cell atlases that will be widely used throughout the research community, providing a molecular and anatomical foundational framework for the study of brain function and disorders.

The purpose of this Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) is to encourage revision applications (formerly called "competing revisions") from currently funded NCI U54 Resource-Related Research Projects proposing to expand upon original research question(s) from specific projects or otherwise accelerate progress for the parent study by incorporating a new technical approach or instrument developed through support from the NCI Innovative Molecular Analysis Technologies (IMAT) program. Awards from this FOA are meant to incentivize independent validation and accelerate the suitability of these emerging technologies for appropriate research communities.As a component of the NCI IMAT program, this FOA aims to promote interdisciplinary collaboration in the development of innovative tools and methods that enable cancer research and accelerate scientific discovery.

The purpose of the NIH HEAL InitiativeSM Pathway to Independence Award (K99/R00) program is to support a cohort of new and talented independent investigators conducting Pain and/or SUD research, in order to increase the independent investigator workforce in research areas supported by the NIH HEAL InitiativeSM. This program is designed to facilitate a timely transition of eligible outstanding postdoctoral researchers from their mentored, postdoctoral research positions to independent, tenure-track or equivalent faculty positions. The program will provide independent NIH research support during this transition to help awardees establish independent research programs in areas supported by the NIH HEAL InitiativeSM.
