The Woodsmoke Reduction Program will offer financial incentives for homeowners to replace old, inefficient, and highly polluting wood stoves, wood inserts, or fireplaces with cleaner burning and more efficient home heating devices. The incentive amount will vary depending on the location of the residence and the household income. The Woodsmoke Reduction Program is part of California Climate Investments, a Statewide program that puts billions of cap-and-trade dollars to work reducing greenhouse gas emissions, strengthening the economy and improving public health and the environment.

North Coast Unified AQMD Rural School Bus Program No Due Date Given Varies

Through a partnership with Senator Mike McGuire and the California Air Resources Board (CARB) the District has been asked to administer the Rural School Bus Pilot Project for the State of California. The main goal of this grant program is accelerating the turnover of California school bus fleets to lower carbon transportation choices, especially in rural school districts who have less access to other funding sources.

The On-Road Voucher Incentive Program (VIP) takes the current criteria of the Carl Moyer Program Fleet Modernization Program and streamlines the requirements for both the participants and the District. By streamlining the guideline requirements, the goal of the voucher program is to provide funding opportunities for fleets with 3 or fewer vehicles to quickly replace or retrofit their older heavy-duty diesel vehicles.

Fleet owners that operate vehicles with 2006 or older model year diesel engines may be eligible for funding towards the purchase of an exhaust retrofit.

The Carl Moyer Memorial Air Quality Standards Attainment Program (Carl Moyer Program) provides incentive grants for cleaner-than-required engines, equipment, and other sources of pollution providing early or extra emission reductions. Eligible projects include cleaner on-road, marine, and agricultural sources. Projects may include engine re-powers, the purchase of new vehicles using alternative fuels, and engine retrofit devices approved by the California Air Resources Board (CARB). The District implements the program from funding received from CARB.

Tehama County APCD Carl Moyer and FARMER Program No Due Date Given Varies

The Tehama County Air Pollution Control District (Air District) is currently accepting application packets for Year 22 of the Carl Moyer Program and Year 3 of the FARMER Program. 

In Tehama County the Carl Moyer Program and FARMER Program provide grant funding for qualifying projects. Applicants must obtain approval and have a signed, executed contract from the Air District prior to purchase and installation of any qualifying equipment. Any equipment purchased or installed prior to contract execution is ineligible. Please note that the Carl Moyer Program and FARMER Program are NOT rebate programs.

Yolo-Solano AQMD Carl Moyer Program No Due Date Given Varies

Businesses within the Yolo-Solano AQMD can apply for substantial grants to help fund projects that will upgrade emission controls on heavy duty off-road vehicles through the Carl Moyer Program.

Locally, the Moyer Program is administered through the Sacramento Metropolitan AQMD to maximize regional efficiency.
