2020 Preservation Technology and Training Grants - PTT Grants - are intended to create better tools, better materials, and better approaches to conserving buildings, landscapes, sites, and collections. The PTT Grants are administered by the National Center for Preservation Technology and Training - NCPTT, the National Park Service¿s innovation center for the preservation community. The competitive grants program will provide funding to federal agencies, states, tribes, local governments, and non-profit organizations. PTT Grants will support the following activities: - Innovative research that develops new technologies or adapts existing technologies to preserve cultural resources - typically 20,000 dollars. - Specialized workshops or symposia that identify and address national preservation needs - typically 15,000 to 20,000 dollars. - How-to videos, mobile applications, podcasts, best practices publications, or webinars that disseminate practical preservation methods or provide better tools for preservation practice - typically 5,000 to 15,000 dollars. The maximum grant award is 20,000 dollars. The actual grant award amount is dependent on the scope of the proposed activity. NCPTT does not fund brick and mortar grants.

Grand Canyon National Park (GRCA) hosts a robust Prescribed Fire program that encompasses not only the North and South Rims of the Park, but includes Walnut Canyon (WACA), Wupatki, (WUPA), Sunset Crater (SUCR), Tuzigoot (TUZI), and Montezuma’s Castle (MOCA) National Monuments located Northern Arizona. Priority fuels reduction and ecological restoration work occurs in all listed locations and assistance from qualified cooperators will be necessary to meet the planned program of work. Federal funding will be allocated for Prescribed Fire support, ecological restoration, and hazardous fuels reduction projects, which will be necessary to meet the programmatic goals of the National Park Service (NPS). Applicants must demonstrate their ability to contribute to successful implementation of Prescribed Fire and Fuels work. Notable areas of evaluation criteria include ability to mobilize and arrive at the project site within 1.5-2 hours of notification, capable firefighting equipment and personnel possessing National Wildfire Coordinating Group (NWCG) qualifications recognized within the wildland fire discipline, and self-sufficiency for travel to and from sites while conducting Prescribed Fire activities.

Grant funds must be used for CONSULTATION and/or DOCUMENTATION projects under NAGPRA. Consultation projects support efforts related to revising a NAGPRA inventory and making or responding to requests for repatriation of items in a NAGPRA summary. Documentation projects support determining the geographical origin, cultural affiliation, and other basic facts surrounding the acquisition of Native American cultural items. Consultation and documentation projects should lead to determining control, treatment, repatriation, and disposition of NAGPRA cultural items.

PaymentsDomestic recipients are required to register in and receive payment through the U.S. Treasury’s Automated Standard Application for Payments (ASAP), unless approved for a waiver by the Service program. Foreign recipients receiving funds to a final destination bank outside the U.S. are required to receive payment through the U.S. Treasury’s International Treasury Services (ITS) System. Foreign recipients receiving funds to a final destination bank in the U.S. are required to enter and maintain current banking details in their SAM.gov entity profile and receive payment through the Automated Clearing House network by electronic funds transfer (EFT). The Bureau will include recipient-specific instructions on how to request payment, including identification of any additional information required and where to submit payment requests, as applicable, in all Notices of Award.

9/11 Memorial Act Grant Program

This Agreement establishes a strategic working relationship between NPS and The Conservation Fund (TCF), whose variety of community focused services related to merging economic and conservation goals provides valuable expertise for advancing Gateways Network and Chesapeake conservation and restoration goals. The TCF, through its Conservation Leadership Network (CLN) and the Conservation Finance Network (CFN), will be a key near- and long-term partner in support of NPS efforts to advance land conservation. The CLN provides services focused on collaborative problem-solving --bringing people together to facilitate on-the-ground results related to conservation and community development. The CFN advances land and resource conservation by expanding the use of innovative and effective funding and financing strategies.THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR APPLICATIONS. This announcement is to provide public notice of the National Park Service’s intention to award financial assistance. Detailed statements of work will be defined at the task agreement level based on the goals, objectives, and public purpose of this agreement.

The objective of this Agreement is to facilitate efforts of the Kaibab Paiute Tribe of Arizona (Tribe) to engage Paiute Indian youth and elders in the values and management of traditional Paiute lands now part of the Grand Canyon-Parashant National Monument. During a three (3) day, two (2) night camping trip to Mount Trumbull, or an alternative location, Southern Paiute youth and tribal elders have an opportunity to re-establish their connections to monument resources via instructional activities led by tribal elders.
