The Public Diplomacy Grants Program is back! This year, we are excited to make funding opportunities available to a wider group of individuals and organizations, including alumni of U.S. Government exchange programs, graduates of U.S. higher education institutions, and representatives of U.S. and Vietnamese not-for-profit entities. Our themes have now expanded to include supporting community-based solutions to key challenges, promoting culture and education cooperation between the U.S. and Vietnam, and strengthening connections within the alumni network through events and activities.

The Public Affairs Section of the U.S. Embassy Hanoi of the U.S. Department of State announces an open competition for a cooperative agreement to develop and implement a Young Southeast Asian Leaders Initiative (YSEALI) Regional Workshop on fostering innovation in higher education in an age of global partnerships, in Hanoi pending availability of funding.

The U.S. Consulate in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, announces this Notice of Funding Opportunity (“NOFO”) for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) Pilot. A grant for up to $2,962,000 U.S. Dollars (USD) in FY 2020 Economic Support Funds (ESF) will be awarded (pending availability of funds) for work that will support a battery energy storage pilot project in Vietnam. The period of performance is 4 years. Funding authority rests in the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961, as amended.
