This is an Annual Program Statement, outlining our funding priorities, the strategic themes we focus on, and the procedures for submitting requests for funding. Purpose of Small Grants: PAS Lome invites proposals for programs that strengthen cultural ties between the U.S. and Togo through cultural and exchange programming that highlights shared values and promotes bilateral cooperation. All programs must include an American cultural element, or connection with American expert/s, organization/s, or institution/s in a specific field that will promote increased understanding of U.S. policy and perspectives. Alumni Engagement Innovative Fund-(AEIF) $35,000.00

AEIF provides alumni of U.S. government-sponsored and facilitated exchange programs with funding to expand on skills gained during their exchange experience to design and implement innovative solutions to global challenges facing their community. Since its inception in 2011, AEIF has funded nearly 500 alumni-led projects around the world through a competitive global competition. This year, AEIF 2023 will support United States’ commitment to promote Opportunities and Development. U.S. Embassy, Lome will accept public service projects proposed and managed by teams of at least two (2) alumni that support themes such as:· Bring Exchange Alumni together from different exchange programs to build or expand an Exchange Alumni network capable of working together on common interests, and increase regional and global alumni collaboration· Strengthen the relationship between alumni and the U.S. government to work together on activities that address mutual goals and challenges· Support Exchange Alumni as they develop their leadership capacity and implement projects in their communities

Supporting Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms of Members of Togo’s Most Vulnerable Groups $250,000.00

The U.S. Embassy in Lomé, Togo, through this Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO), is pleased to announce an open competition for organizations to submit applications to carry out a program to promote human rights of members of marginalized groups by supporting the fight against discrimination and human rights violations and abuses against members of Togo’s most vulnerable communities. Marginalized groups may include but are not limited to the LGBTQI+ community, persons with disabilities, religious minorities, women, and persons with albinism. Please follow all instructions below. A grant for up to $250,000 U.S. Dollars (USD) in FY 2022 Public Diplomacy Funds will be awarded (pending availability of funds) for work that will support program objectives in sectionA.2.
